Subject: Earthquake in Japan
Thank you for your prayers for us here. At around 2:40 p.m. on Friday afternoon, we experienced a major earthquake (8.8). The earthquake was just a little ways out in the ocean from Sendai, about 250 miles north of Tokyo. Our headquarters building shook and jumped around quite violently for a minute or two, followed by numerous aftershocks which can still be felt (4:15 p.m.). Our Team here in Japan is safe, but it was quite a big scare for all of us. The tidal waves for those living near the coast will be causing much damage as well. Just wanted to let you all know that we are safe here for right now. Trains are shut down so that the safety of the tracks can be checked. Please keep praying. The building is still shaking from time to time.
In Christ,
Harry Landaw, Team Leader
